Alexis Rivera, Whole30 Coach of the Year 2020, is a self-care advocate, content creator and recipe developer at @asideofalexis. She is 1/3 of the dynamic Whole30 coaching team with COTY 2019, Jacob Henriquez and Lucas OchoaGarcia. She also hosts monthly workshops on Patreon and is a contributor for the Filipina On The Rise Podcast.

Catarina Rivera
Catarina Rivera, MSEd, MPH is a public speaker and DEI consultant with over 14 years of experience in the public sector. Catarina works with companies to improve accessibility and inclusion, retain employees, and design better products. She is the founder of Blindish Latina, a platform smashing disability stigmas through storytelling, advocacy, and training. Catarina has worn hearing aids from a young age and was diagnosed with progressive vision loss at 17 years old. She has a BA from Duke University, an MSEd from Bank Street College of Education, and an MPH from Hunter College. She is a member of RespectAbility’s National Disability Speakers Bureau. Catarina is committed to social justice.

Chris Guillebeau
Chris Guillebeau is the New York Times bestselling author of The $100 Startup, Side Hustle, The Happiness of Pursuit, and other books. During a lifetime of self-employment that included a four-year commitment as a volunteer executive in West Africa, he visited every country in the world (193 in total) before his 35th birthday.

Dr. Jessica Shepherd
Dr. Jessica Shepherd is a board certified OB/GYN, women’s health expert and minimally invasive surgeon. She is the founder and CEO of Sanctum Med + Wellness, a wellness concierge practice and is affiliated with Baylor University Medical Center here in Dallas, TX
Dr. Shepherd is an engaging and well known media personality that is seen regularly as an expert on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Talk, Dr. Oz, CNN, MSNBC and CBS News. She is on the Advisory Board for Women’s Health, Healthline, Women’s Health.org, It’s August and has written in other various journals including Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, Essence, and Self.
Her passion for women’s health, from minority health disparities to reproductive justice issues, has allowed her to be an advocate for women and she has been a speaker at various health and wellness events such as Blog Her, Well Summit and Chronicon
As a health care expert, she strives to educate people on their bodies and how to address their physical, sexual, emotional health in addition to the incorporation of wellness. She currently sits on the advisory board for Ro Medicine, Women’s Health Magazine, Abbvie, Myovant, Responsum, Hologic, Healthy Women.org and Healthline
She is an expert in her field, she has now expanded her reach to keynote talks and her national appeal has allowed her to work on women’s health issues with celebrities including Sheryl Crow, Brooke Burke, Erin Andrews, Dr. Jackie Walters from Married to Medicine, Catt Sadler and Laila Ali.
Her involvement with various foundations as a board member has allowed her to actively make decisions in the women’s health realm. She serves on the board of the Ross University Medical School Alumni Council, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Board, AAGL Diversity and Inclusion Committee and also the Texas Women’s Foundation.
Dr. Vickie Bhatia
Dr. Vickie Bhatia is a licensed clinical psychologist and Whole30 Certified Coach. She specializes in working with adults and couples on improving their mood, managing anxiety and emotions more effectively, and improving their relationship with themselves and others. Using a cognitive-behavioral and acceptance-based lens, Dr. Bhatia helps clients become aware of their patterns and make change towards a life that is in line with their values. As a Whole30 Certified Coach, Dr. Bhatia helps individuals examine how nutrition may affect their mental health. In addition, she helps clients examine how they view themselves and the world around them and how perfectionism, self-worth, and beliefs may interact with their approach to food.

Dr. Will Cole
Dr. Will Cole is a leading functional medicine expert who consults people around the world via webcam and locally in Pittsburgh. Jackie Jorge
As Whole30’s Senior Communications Manager, Jackie Jorge leads our Public Relations efforts. With more than two decades of PR experience within the health and wellness industry, her strong background in media relations and storytelling has led to multiple award-winning PR campaigns. Jackie considers herself an intuitive and mindful marketer and, through her comprehensive skills, she proudly shares her Whole30 passion to the world.
As a first generation American, Jackie was born and raised in sunny California but celebrates her Argentine-Portuguese heritage through her cooking, traveling and everyday life. In her free time, she gravitates towards outdoor and fitness activities like roller-skating, skiing, hiking and yoga. A mom to three amazing teenagers, she takes every opportunity to re-live her 80’s teenage years with them.

Jen Kendall
Jen Kendall, our Whole30 Approved Manager, is a born and raised Floridian who now lives in Utah with her husband and two-year-old son. She graduated from the University of Florida and has strong interests in health and nutrition that led her to discover the Whole30 program back in 2014. Coming from a background in real estate marketing and sales, Jen has been building out the Whole30 Approved program with Whole30 since 2016 and loves getting to know the great people behind the wonderful brands making huge impacts on our food landscape. Outside of Whole30, Jen loves creating memories with her family, weightlifting, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Giselle Ugarte
Meet Giselle Ugarte. It’s pronounced: Jiz-Elle Yoo-gar-dee (like “party”).
A top motivational speaker, marketing consultant, and executive coach, Giselle is known for giving signature action-forward strategy and no-bs feedback to forward-facing influencers, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders who want to use the power of social media to launch new businesses and attract meaningful communities, online and especially off. Carson Tueller
Carson Tueller is a coach, speaker and activist whose work provides people with the tools they need to live authentic, fulfilling, and powerful lives. Carson’s own journey into powerful living began in 2013 when, in the same year, he came out, and was then injured in an accident that paralyzed him from the chest down. Since then, Carson has brought his work into various settings, from international nonprofits to presidential campaigns, and his work and advocacy has been featured broadly throughout the media.

Manu Muraro
Manu Muraro is the founder of Your Social Team, an Instagram training membership and content shop to help social media managers and Instagram savvy women entrepreneurs to beat the algorithm and grow their organic engagement (yes, even in 2021).
This year she also launched Your Template Club, a Canva Template subscription to provide social media managers and Instagram savvy business owners with content templates designed for engagement in their inbox.
Born and raised in Brazil, Manu moved to the U.S. in 2000 right out of college to work for Cartoon Network, where she made an award winning career in creative and strategy. In 2017, Manu started Your Social Team with the mission of helping women entrepreneurs and social media managers grow engagement and sales through Instagram without the overwhelm.

Melissa Urban
Melissa Urban is the co-founder and CEO of the Whole30 program, and a six-time New York Times bestselling author. She is the host of the Do the Thing podcast; is a prominent keynote speaker on social media and branding, health trends, and entrepreneurship; and ranks #19 on Greatists Top 100 Most Influential People in Health and Fitness. She lives in Salt Lake City, UT.

Perla Terrero
Perla Terrero, our Director of People & Culture, is a daughter, sister, loving aunt and avid fan of all things musical theatre! With a B.S in Marketing & Management and a Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology she brings to Whole30 over 14 years of experience in Human Resources and a passion for ensuring organizations focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and empowerment to create fair and fulfilling cultures. The ability to value, uphold, and advocate for people is why she does this work – getting to do it alongside the Whole30 team is a gift! Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, she still calls New York City home.

Sam Presicci
Sam has her Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition and has been a practicing Registered Dietitian (RD) with a passion for Functional Medicine for more than 5 years. While she has extensive experience working 1:1 with individual clients, her main focus these days is helping like-minded brands optimize their products and their consumer-facing content. This year, she began working full-time for Whole30 Approved partner, FOND Bone Broth, as their Director of Brand Strategy & Partnerships. When she’s not writing up blog posts, talking CPG or brainstorming brand strategy, you’ll find her scouring grocery store shelves for new products, walking at the nature preserve with her dogs and boyfriend, or visiting local farms.

Steph Greunke, MS, RD, CPT, PMH-C
Steph Greunke is Whole30’s in-house Dietitian and Senior Education Manager. She has been an advocate of the Whole30 program since 2010, using the program personally and professionally with her clients. Steph specializes in elimination diets, prenatal/postnatal nutrition, behavioral psychology, and holds additional certifications in perinatal mental health and fitness. She’s an internationally-recognized speaker who blends the latest research with practical advice. Through her Postpartum Reset nutrition program, “Doctor Mom” podcast and her private practice, Stephanie has helped thousands of individuals move towards an anti-inflammatory lifestyle.

Tamar Samuels
Tamar Samuels, MS, RD, CDN, is the co-founder of Culina Health, a leading nutrition expert, and registered dietitian.
Her unique and holistic approach to health integrates functional medicine, positive psychology, and behavioral change techniques pulled from her training in clinical nutrition and coaching science. She’s helped countless people transform their relationship with food and their health to overcome a variety of health conditions.
Tamar has her undergraduate degree in psychology from Hunter College and her master’s degree in clinical nutrition from New York University. She provides science-based nutrition expertise through a variety of media outlets including online publications, speaking engagements, and video appearances.
