Amy entered into a 30 day Paleo Challenge at her CrossFit in 2012. Unsure of how to navigate, she ordered a stack of books. One of those books was , “It Starts With Food.” She completed her first Whole30 in September 2013 and has done many Whole30s since. So moved by the changes and her desire to help others experience similar change, Amy joined the first cohort to become an ADAPT Functional Health Coach through the Kresser Institute. She is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), and is currently pursuing a Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine.
“At first Whole30 was just about the food- what I could and couldn’t eat. Doing it right consumed me; I read labels and scoured cookbooks. I shopped, chopped and cooked. Along the way it became a lifestyle. I realized the more we ate whole real food, the more we took walks, the more we made it to the farmer’s market, the more we sat in the sun. It’s such a gift to give yourself and your family. And then to know you’re passing healthy habits to your kids. It’s life changing. If you’ve been thinking about doing a Whole30… or you’ve tried and it didn’t go as you’d hoped, I’d love to help you on your Whole30 journey. As long as you have a tiny bit of hope and a why, you can do it!”
