Emily Nichols is school wellness & mental health professional, host of the Self Care Isn’t Selfish Podcast, fitness instructor and most importantly wife and mom to two little boys. She and her husband found Whole30 together in 2015 and it snowballed into completely changing their family’s life from the inside/out. Through many rounds of Whole30, Emily has found how to better manage stress with self-care instead of sugar, and found the power in giving back to others through leading others through Whole30. Emily is passionate about helping other busy families like hers to find their way to not only their own version of food freedom and self care, but also changing their mindset to live their lives to the fullest. You can find Emily and her family hiking outdoors, playing with their Labrador Retriever, running in Spartan races together or enjoying #TacoTuesday at home.
“Whole30 has been the catalyst to living my life to the fullest, and I have to pay it forward to others. My goal every morning when my feet hit the floor is to motivate another tired, working mom like my old self and let her know that, ‘You got this, girl!’ Whether it be through showing how I have been able to make time for fitness, sharing a motivational podcast, making a nutritious dinner for my family, or showing how human I am (like when I haven’t done laundry in what feels like 10,000 years). We are all capable of becoming the best versions of ourselves and not just survive through our busy lives, but thrive!”
