Leigh Thielen is an educator and outdoor enthusiast living in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Leigh struggled with severe GI problems that impacted both her work and adventurous lifestyle, and turned to the Whole30 hoping to find some relief for her symptoms. For Leigh, that first Whole30 opened the door to a new approach to health and wellness. It brought relief to some of her most severe symptoms, while inspiring her to keep exploring new ways to heal her gut. She has come to be a firm believer in the self-experimentation model as a method of determining what works best for your individual body.
“I’m always striving to feel my best – physically *and* emotionally. But there is no one-size-fits-all protocol for optimal health. By keeping an open mind and staying curious, I find joy in continuing to experiment with food and other health-related habits in order to figure out what works best for me.”
An educator at heart, Leigh loves sharing knowledge with others. She sees herself as a guide for people embarking on the own Whole30 self-experiment, particularly helping to focus on the reintroduction phase and evaluating how foods might be impacting them physically and emotionally.
