Maura discovered the Whole30 back in 2017, while training for a marathon. She was amazed how she could properly fuel for her training while doing the Whole30 and how much her performance and recovery improved! Most importantly, the Whole30 changed her relationship with food. She learned to listen to her body and eat to satiety, to practice mindful eating, and to get her sugar cravings under control. Since then she has maintained a Whole30 lifestyle and continues to work on her Food Freedom. As a mom, she wants to be a role model for her son by teaching him how the food we eat affects our overall health and wellness.
Maura enjoys spending time with her family, running, cooking, reading, and camping when they can.
